Frequently Asked Questions - STARcard And eGOPASS

Q:  What  is the   eGOpass  ?

A:  eGOpass  is  an enhancement to our Express Parker program.  Express members now have the benefits of our new  eGOpass  badge,  which provides faster, more efficient check-out service.  It is part of a long-term upgrade that will eventually include automated check-in when you drop off your car.


Q:  How  is that different from STARcard?

A:  STARcard  is the name of our free loyalty program.   Frequent parkers earn points every time they stay with us, which can be used for parking or additional services.


Q:  How  do I know what kind of card I have?

A:  The  card you were issued will state either STARcard, or   eGOpass   If you are an Express Parker, you signed up for that additional service, and you go directly to your vehicle upon returning from your trip.


Q:  What  will I do differently with an  eGOpass  card? 

A:  The  eGOpass   is an electronic badge that contains your personal profile. Upon your return to the airport, you simply scan the card at the Roncari sign located in the baggage claim area at the airport.  It automatically alerts us to pull your car forward, and charge your credit card. Please note, if you do not wish to use the scanner, you may still call us.


Q:  Will  I be automatically enrolled?

A:  If  you are currently a member of our Express Parker program, you will have the opportunity to upgrade to  eGOpass  on  our website. That feature should be available in the next few days.


Q:  I  am not an express parker, but I would like an  eGOpass

A:  You  can apply on our website. Choose the option to sign up for an  eGOpass , fill in the required information, and submit your request.


Q:  I  do not want an  eGOpass

A:  Please  visit our website and choose the option to indicate that you don't want an  eGOpass


Q:  Is  there an annual fee for an  eGOpass  ?

A:  No,  there is no annual fee, and no charge for the badge (replacement badges are $7). The per stay fee for the Express Parker program, which has been in place since the program began, will increase to $2.50 beginning Sepember 15, 2009.


Q:  I  lost my card. Can I get a new one?

A:  We  can issue a new   eGOpass  card  for a small fee.
